Camomile (Roman)Helps with feelings of frustration and anger; it is soothing to both mind and body and is also an anti-depressant. Clary SageHelps with panic attacks, depression and relaxation, and restores energy. FrankincenseLifts fatigue and restores energy, imparts a feeling of strength and well-being. JasmineHelps lift depression and is very calming and soothing. LavenderHelps in all areas of stress, anxiety and worry. MarjoramHelps with feelings of hopelessness and loneliness, which can be caused by stress; also lifts depression. (Please note, however that marjoram should be avoided if you are being treated with medication for depression, as it can have a stupefying effect, and would be contra-indicated with the use of tranquillisers.) NeroliCalming, relaxing and uplifting. RoseHeals the heart energy, and will be effective in treating all types of stress-related conditions. SandalwoodEffective in soothing the mind from troubled thoughts, uplifting to depression. VetiverMakes an effective, deeply relaxing massage oil, beneficial for all effects of stress. Ylang YlangCalms and soothes both mind and body, helping to calm palpitations caused by stress. However, the oils mentioned above are particularly good and will complement each other when several are blended together. For most effective results, use essential oils regularly several times a week, by either massage, bathing or in an essence burner. The expenditure on the oils and equipment will be repaid many times over as you feel the changes occurring in your mind, body and spirit.
